Mental health support

Children in conflict areas, especially in Northern Nigeria, face terrible realities—banditry, kidnappings, killings, and the destruction of their villages. These experiences leave deep scars and can harm their mental health if not properly addressed.

At UDO Foundation, we respond by providing trauma-informed care and counseling for affected children and their families. We create safe spaces and support groups, train teachers and community leaders in psychosocial support, and advocate for policies that prioritize mental health while reducing stigma.

After our interventions, children and families begin to heal. They find hope again, communities become more supportive, and mental well-being is restored, allowing children to dream and thrive despite their painful past.
