Project Summary
UDOF awarded scholarships and registered 19 out-of-school children in Mabera Tsohon Gida Community Primary School, Sokoto State.
These children have been left behind in learning, and may never have gone to school without support.
They are from poor backgrounds, with struggling widowed and single mothers. Life has been difficult and some of these girls were at risk of being married off early if they remained at home.
By giving these children access to education, we have levelled the playing field for them to realise their potential and live better lives.
